It is important to note that the first burn is very important. When you light your candle for the first time, allow the wax to burn so that it melts across the entire surface to the edges and pools to the edges of the jar. We usually recommend burning for at least 2 hours.
Doing this will assist in preventing 'tunnelling' or uneven pooling, and help promote an even burn for the duration of the candle's life.
As the wax level drops, the wicks become longer so we recommend that you trim the wicks regularly prior to each new burn.
We suggest that you stop burning your candle when there's not a lot of wax left as the glass may become very hot to handle.
We aim to ensure all of our candles will last as long as possible however burn times vary based on many factors including candle maintenance (whether wicks are being properly trimmed), the length of each solid burn time (a longer burn that results in a deeper melted wax pool tends to evaporate faster), where you place the candle (drafty areas may effect burn times) and how old your candles is.
In ideal conditions, 280g candles may burn for up to 50 hours.
